Each basket is meticulously handcrafted by skilled women artisans in Central Uganda. These artisans are part of a cooperative that empowers disadvantaged communities, including widows, the disabled, and those living with HIV/AIDS, by providing employment and training opportunities.

The creation process is a labor of love, with artisans weaving each basket from home while managing other household duties. This dedication means that each basket can take days or even weeks to complete, with artisans working a few hours each day.
