Each tray is meticulously handcrafted by talented women artisans from the Batoro tribe in the remote mountains of Western Uganda. These skilled weavers are part of a cooperative that empowers single mothers, widows, and marginalized women, providing them with training and a source of income through basket weaving.

Made from all-natural, sustainably sourced raffia and banana fibers, this tray is as eco-friendly as it is beautiful. The artisans use a unique mix of natural and AZO-free dyes, derived from plant materials grown in their villages, showcasing their expertise in creating vibrant colors.

The hand-dyed raffia is expertly twisted and wrapped around banana fiber coils, resulting in a sturdy structure and intricate designs. Due to the handmade nature of each piece, no two trays are identical, offering you a truly special and unique product.
