Crafted by skilled women artisans from the Batoro tribe in the remote mountains of Western Uganda, this trivet is more than just a table accessory. These artisans are part of a cooperative that empowers single mothers, widows, and marginalized women, providing them with training and a source of additional income through basket weaving.

Made from all-natural, sustainably sourced raffia and banana fibers, this trivet is a testament to eco-friendly craftsmanship. The unique, bold mix of natural and AZO-free dyes is derived from plant materials grown in the artisans' villages, showcasing their expertise in creating vibrant colors.

The intricate designs are achieved by twisting and wrapping hand-dyed raffia around coils of banana fibers, ensuring each piece is structurally sound and visually stunning. Due to the handmade nature of these products, no two trivets are identical, offering slight variations in size and color that make each one truly special.
