Arrow Clutch

The barkcloth is meticulously made from the inner bark of the Mutuba tree, using a labor-intensive process involving wooden mallets to create a supple, cloth-like texture.

The stunning colors of the barkcloth range from terracotta to deep cognac-brown, with black variants achieving their hue naturally through a clay-burial process. Each harvest is sustainable, allowing the Mutuba tree to regrow its bark annually for over 60 years. This eco-friendly practice is supported by the Bukomansimbi Organic Tree Farmers Association (BOTFA), which emphasizes the importance of preserving this traditional craft.

The Arrow Clutch is lined with handwoven black fabric made from 100% sustainably grown Ugandan Cotton, sourced through Cotton Made in Africa (CMiA). It features a top zipper for secure closure. Handmade in Uganda, this clutch measures approximately 5" x 9", making it the perfect size for carrying your essentials in style.
